Simon Taylor

Simon was born and raised in Bradford, Yorkshire before studying law at the University of Wolverhampton and working as a solicitor in the West Midlands for six years. Simon stepped into full time church ministry as the Pastor of the Christian Life Centre, Wolverhampton from 2005-2018. In June 2018 Simon took up the leadership of Oakwood Church, Taunton.


Simon is passionate about seeing people live in the reality and power of true faith in Christ. He loves to preach God’s word in a practical and applicable way, and longs to see the church increasingly becoming the authentic expression of Christ’s body in this world.  


Simon is committed to working with other local churches in the South West of England for the advance of God’s kingdom. He is also a regular visitor to Sri Lanka where He serves and supports the leadership of the Apostolic Church.


Simon is married to Melleny and together they have two young children, Lianna and Nathanael. He loves every kind of sport and enjoys a wide variety of music.
